TripleTen’s Referral Program: Rewarding in More Senses Than One

It is our belief that people do good things just for the sake of doing good. However, it is also our belief that when people do good things, they should be rewarded. That’s the philosophy that built out the TripleTen Referral Program.

Good for the community

Our student Christiopher Abreu is an example of someone who makes us confident about our first assumption. “I decided to join TripleTen’s referral program because I have gained valuable knowledge and skills through my experience with the bootcamp. I recognized that there are individuals who are interested in entering the tech industry, but may not know where to begin. By participating in the referral program, I saw an opportunity to guide and assist people in achieving their goals on a platform that I know to be effective,” he said.

It was a way for him to give back to his community. The thing is, this urge towards doing good is hard to measure in dollars and cents. However, that doesn’t mean we couldn’t use that tool to show our appreciation for what he did.

As a way of showing our appreciation for what people like Christopher are doing, the TripleTen Referral Program has a robust system of tangible rewards. For each student referred, the person sending them our way gets $500. Not only that, but the person referred gets 25% off their tuition. All that referrers have to do is share a promo code as friends recommending something they’ve enjoyed. That $500? That’s just our way of thanking you.

And that $500 keeps adding up for each referred individual who enrolls. In fact, our top three referrers have earned a total of $27,500. Out of that figure, our current top referrer has earned $12,000 in rewards. Of course, we’re happy to send the money as a thank-you to the people who keep our community growing, but there is more to it.

We’d like to return to that figure of $27,500 for a moment. Extrapolating from it with some simple math, that means that a significant number of people enrolled in TripleTen because of recommendations from only three people. Those tech experts could found a startup. They could form a company’s entire tech team. They represent a full crew of data scientists, data analysts, quality assurance professionals, software engineers, and business analysts.

So recommendations impact tech at large.
