“Does TripleTen get you a job?” might be the question you’re asking yourself right now. We get it. The market’s looking rough out there, rent’s not getting any cheaper, and you want to know if career programs like TripleTen can help you finally gain the skills for that better job (and life).

We analyzed our job placement data and have an answer to that question: yes. Like many of our graduates over the past year, you too can land the job change. We won’t pretend everything’s rosy; that’d be, at best, disingenuous. But let’s get into it. Here’s an exploration of what our data says about our graduate outcomes in 2025.

The state of the tech job market

The data backs up that it was more difficult to land a job in 2025. According to Bloomberry's findings, job postings in general decreased by 8% between 2024 and 2025. Not only that, but on a larger scale, research from Hiring Lab found that tech job listings on Indeed went down 36% compared to where they were at the start of the pandemic. In addition, in February, the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that instead of the 584,000 jobs they estimated were added to the United States economy in 2025, the actual amount was 181,000. That’s a downward adjustment of 69%.

Our data doesn’t contradict these global trends, but far outperforms a decline of 69%. Nearly two-thirds of TripleTen graduates landed jobs over the past year, a reduction from our previous report, which found that 82% secured employment within six months of graduation. Of those who didn’t get a job offer, we found that one-third struggled explicitly because of the state of the job market.

These students applied for and were approved for our money-back guarantee, which has a simple logic: if you follow the guidance of our career experts and don’t find the job you trained for within 10 months, you can get your tuition refunded. That said, TripleTen guarantees you a full refund if you don't get your job placement.

Such was the case for Krystle Ta. She sent in applications. She networked. She customized her resume. But within the months of our guarantee, she wasn’t hired, so she got her tuition back. Still, it wasn’t like the know-how vanished; she’d still upped her software skills, and soon enough, she did find a role.

I was successful enough to land a role after the money-back guarantee period.

Krystle Ta, TripleTen grad

Now, she’s a Product Owner at Chipotle.

“That burrito place that charges extra for guac?” You might be asking yourself. Yes, that very restaurant. Digital skills aren’t just relevant in Silicon Valley giants anymore, and they haven’t been for a while. They can take you into diverse industries, as they have with our grads.

TripleTen grads' employment stats by industries: Big tech isn’t everything

Industry 2025 TripleTen grad employment
IT 25%
Manufacturing & engineering 12%
Finance & banking 11%
Retail, e-commerce, services 10%
Healthcare 10%
Public & non-profits 8%
Other industries 6%
Transportation & logistics 5%
Consulting 4%
Education 4%
Insurance 4%
Marketing 2%

Traditional IT companies only represented a quarter of the places where our grads ended up. So while big tech might be making headlines with layoffs, and these are indeed impacting the hiring landscape, there are more opportunities out there. TripleTen grad Jessica Cunningham is at a non-profit that promotes inclusive education. Carmen Murphy is testing video games. Keith Robinson is at Citibank.

So sure, the reality is that the job market’s tough, but we still know what to teach and how; our approach increased the number of grads finding jobs between 2024 and 2025.

Is a career switch still worth it in 2026?

TL;DR: Yes. Although we did see a 2.4% decrease in average starting salaries among our graduates, the data remains stable year-over-year, meaning TripleTen programs are still helping career changers secure higher-paid roles with competitive compensation. In fact, the data shows that TripleTen grads rake in an average salary increase of $16,300 compared to their prior roles. That’s almost an extra $1,360 a month in additional earnings, or put another way, enough to cover rent for a studio apartment in Portland, OR.

There’s another twist to the data, though. Let’s take a look at the degrees TripleTen grads had in 2025.

TripleTen graduates by degree

Highest level of educational attainment 2025 grad percentage Bachelor’s vs. non-bachelor’s holders
Other 1% Non-bachelor’s-degree holders
61%
High school 22%
Some college 28%
Two-year or vocational degree 10%
Bachelor’s 29% Bachelor’s degree holders
39%
Master’s 9%
PhD 1%

According to the Public Policy Institute of California (2023 data), workers with bachelor's degrees earn 61% more on average. However, this research seems to have skipped investigating the impact that career programs like TripleTen can have.

As you can see above, the majority of our grads do not have bachelor’s degrees. In fact, from 2024 to 2025, the percentage of graduates without four-year degrees increased, and in that same time, grad earnings stayed more or less stable.

And while we’re talking about degrees vs. TripleTen, here’s one more comparison:

88% of TripleTen grads stay in jobs in their field for at least a year

What’s it like for those with bachelor’s degrees? Much worse: 52% of bachelor’s degree holders work in jobs unrelated to their degree a year after graduation.

AI is changing the job landscape, so we’re changing, too

Our grads succeeded in 2025, and 49% credit not only the skills gained, but also their work with career coaches as crucial to their transformations. So we’re sticking with the coaching (shoutout to our coaches here — you’re heroes), we’re sticking with accepting everyone without prerequisites, and we’re sticking with hands-on industry-relevant education exemplified by our externships and Code Jams. It’s been a winning formula.

But although our approach worked for the majority of grads despite rough market conditions in 2025, we’re not going to act as if we’re not aware of what’s coming: AI. Already, tech roles are transforming. While many roles decreased on Indeed in 2025 compared to their 2020 levels, machine learning engineer postings were actually up by 59%. So, in light of that, we now have an AI & Machine Learning program.

New jobs are being created, too, such as AI automation manager and AI operations‎ ‎ ‎

specialist, so we have also launched our AI Automation program. It’s training people in the no-code skills that’ll allow them to not struggle against the tide of AI, but instead ride it to new employment prospects.

AI coding tools are already crucial for software engineers, too, so we’ve got a new AI-ready software program as well: AI Software Engineering. AI is magnifying what programmers can do, and we’re making sure our students don’t miss out on that boost to their capabilities.

New programs, same promise: New job-ready skills with no admission requirements

TripleTen's admissions policy is simple: there are no requirements and no prior STEM degree needed to join any program. The data shows that this influences who joins; in 2025, 80% of TripleTen’s employed grads didn’t have any STEM background at all.

We’re proud that we helped so many of these switchers land new, fulfilling, better-paid jobs based on fresh digital skills. But it also means we need to be proactive and forward-thinking to make sure we keep helping everyone — from truck drivers to firefighters — make the professional pivot they want. Our refusal to restrict who can learn with us means that we especially need to make sure our programs evolve to reflect the realities of the job market.

And that’s exactly what we’re doing so that when we come back in a year and write the next employment outcomes report, we can reflect on 2026 and say we kept our promises even as an emerging AI focus shifted how the market looked.
