Nearing the end of 2023, I made the decision to pivot career paths from being a Social Worker to the tech world. I wanted to invest in a career that would offer me flexibility and optimal earning potential, while also occupying a role that made a tangible impact. I had been working on the side as an... admin assistant and was occasionally given tasks that required me to use Excel to showcase KPIs or maintain a database of company info. I found this work to be energizing and wanted to learn more about how I could leverage the power data in a new career. TripleTen was advertised to me on IG and the ads alone taught me that this kind of career shift was a real possibility. I took the leap and joined the program near the end of 2023 and was able to complete it on time while working 2 full time jobs. Not because it was easy, but because of how engaging and supportive the program is. The coursework and projects definitely challenged me, but in just the way I needed to actually gain the technical skills needed in my future career. The platform you learn on is very well-organized and helps you stay on track. I felt well-supported the whole time from the TripleTen team, as people regularly checked-in with me personally, as well as made it super easy to access answers to my questions in the Discord channel. Additionally, the program included career mentoring woven throughout the coursework and an intensive career coaching (known as Career Acceleration) program available to graduates. I did not even need to complete Career Acceleration, as one week into it my company that I had been admin assisting for hired me for a data analyst role! The hiring manager commented on how impressive my resume was and ability to translate my new tech skills into the role I was applying for. I owe my ability to have done so to TripleTen for their training and guidance on both the academic learning and career prep. I am not an exception either. I regularly saw messages from other graduates in the Discord announcing their new and exciting jobs in their desired data field. TripleTen's programs WORK! I am so grateful for their awesome BIA program and steady support throughout the entire career journey! Read more
On my path to a career change as a Data Analyst, I've attempted to self-help myself through online lessons on LinkedIn and Coursera. I had a hard time maintaining good focus with their constant video lesson offerings and had some challenges seeing the benefit of spending time on their portal for big... conceptual work at my own pace. I learned best when I got a hands-on approach to the lessons. This boot camp has been a breath of fresh air to me because it offered a structured schedule and mentor support to help guide its students through the process. I've only marked one star less for Job Support because I have not started the Career Accelerator Program (CAP) yet, so I can't attest to that part of the program. The curriculum focused on the technical skills, sprinkled with career accelerator lessons throughout to help give its students a professional edge in the job market. I can't provide an estimate of how long it took for me to get a job after completing this because I have not completed the CAP. Read more
— I decided to learn Software Engineering as I was looking for a career switch and Front End development really interests me.
— I chose TripleTen after comparing it to 10 other available bootcamps because it was self paced, not outrageously priced, and offered support along with a career accelerati... on program that helps you land a job within 6 months after completion. I spent about 20 hours each week on the bootcamp dedicated to learning the theories and completing the assignments.
— The features I enjoyed most were it's interactive platform, the tutor sessions, and projects I got to build (and add to my portfolio)
— The bootcamp has really helped me learn the fundamentals and open doors to additional learning. I'm currently working through the career acceleration program and its been really helpful so far with polishing up my resume, cover letter, LinkedIn profile, and Github. I'm looking forward to landing THAT job! Read more
I joined TripleTen Bootcamp in August 2023 after teaching myself coding for two years. I chose it because of the career support and externship program. The course is split into parts called 'sprints', just like in real tech companies. I already knew a lot about JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, so I moved ... through the first parts quickly and never worried about sprint deadlines. The best part is you can go at your own pace. I finished everything in 7 months instead of the usual 10.
The classes were easy to understand and really helpful. They have a special place online for practicing coding, which I really liked. After every sprint, I would get feedback on my code from the teachers, who were always friendly and gave great advice. Every two months, there were 'code jams' where I could use what I learned on real projects. That was not only fun but also good for my experience.
After finishing all the lessons, I started the Career Acceleration Program to get ready for job interviews. I haven't begun the internship part yet, but that's coming soon.
Overall, I'm very happy I went to this bootcamp. It was definitely worth it, and I think it's going to help me find a good job soon. Read more
Before I attended TripleTen's Data Analytics Program I was a 9-5pm Loan Officer/Loan Officer Assistant. I wasn't happy with where I was and didn't feel motivated at my job. I always had an interest in data and analyzing thing around me so I decided to start looking into making a career change. I cam... e across multiple ads for TripleTen and did my own research into the program. They had a lot of great reviews, they offered deferred payment option, and a dedicated department of people to help you find a job once you complete the program. I decided to reach out them and set up a meeting. All I needed was 20hrs a week and they said I should I have no problem completing the program. So, I signed up for it. I thoroughly enjoyed the learning process as it was fairly easy to understand. After you join the program, you join their discord server which all students can are a part of. You then are invited into each Sprint or topic's discord channel where you can ask questions related to your learning topic. This was a great as if I ever had a question on something I could go and see if another student ran into the same issue. It also introduced me to the tutors of the program. The tutors were always extremely helpful, and they don't just give you the answer if you ask a question. They help you think about the question differently or they even ask you a question which in turn helps solve the problem. Posting questions in the discord channels/servers also allowed me to connect to other students and ask them questions as well.
In the end I definitely enjoyed learning Data Analytics. The whole TripleTen community is great from my community manger to the tutors to my fellow students.
One thing I definitely recommend is to post/ask as many questions as you need. Don't feel intimidated in asking a question, asking questions was one of the best things I did that helped me.
I posted several questions in almost all of the channels so feel free to find me and shoot me a message. Look for me on LinkedIn and let's connect there as well. Read more
I did the course a while ago and it really helped my understand the basis of data analysis. Even though I had prior experience to some extent, the course taught me new things and new methodologies.
Wanting to code began as a curiosity for me. I’ve had a background in tech before, and really wanted to take that to the next level. I had tried several times, but never could find the drive to stay dedicated to it to actually learn it. Then.. along my youtube ads comes an advertisement for TripleTe... n (Practicum at the time actually), and I do a little bit of research. They seemed fairly priced, the reviews were decent, some folks on reddit had okay experience with them, and best of all, they helped with career placement, and it had a money back guarantee! So I decided to take the plunge. My biggest hope was that this would actually force me to learn the code since there was a calendar attached to it, and I actually had invested some money into it, so if I wanted to get my money’s worth, then I had to actually learn what I paid for.
The course itself is very comprehensive. They have you learn a LOT, which is both a good and a bad thing. There wasn’t much that they didn’t cover, but some things that were covered felt like they were brushed over, and we were told to read about them later using a link. But the sprint pacing was really nice. Not only did it give me a goal, but it gives you real experience with completing projects on time at the end of every sprint. The people you interact with are great too. I had 2 different success managers, who are basically in charge of making sure everything is going good with the program, and they were both awesome, and every tutor was super helpful!
I also got to participate in one of the externships they talk about. This experience was invaluable to my time with TripleTen. It threw me into a real world scenario where I was suddenly collaborating with a team of 13 others, all working on the same code that I didn’t initially write, making sure that we all were reaching our goal by a deadline. The externship really was a great experience that I feel I can bring with me to interviews now. Read more
I was already established in the real estate industry. I wanted to automate a process at my company and I took a Python course online. After completing the Python course, I was very interested in seeing what else I could learn, but I wanted a more structured source and someplace that would teach me ... real life skills outside of creating simple games.
I researched various courses and bootcamps and TripleTen's self paced course and curriculum jumped out to me.
I took a demo of their curriculum and reviewed their course material and knew this program was going to offer me everything I wanted and needed.
The course material is up to date and relevant. The tutors and community is extremely responsive and very helpful. The coursework is interactive, easy to follow, and is real-world applicable.
I'm extremely glad I was able to find TripleTen and ecstatic that I took the leap! Read more
I decided to pursue Software Engineering as a profession mainly because of my love for puzzles. I've always enjoyed coming up with solutions to problems, as well as being at the cutting edge of new technology. I found Quality Assurance Engineering to not only be a growth market, but a field that fit... my passions. I chose to complete the TripleTen Quality Assurance Engineering Bootcamp because it both fit my schedule and afforded me a wealth of knowledge about QA Engineering, which I was able to put to good use in a QA Analyst position. Throughout the TripleTen program, I was working in a job with rotating shifts, so I had to diligently schedule when I could study and complete the TripleTen projects. This required me to prioritize at least 20 hours a week for the program. I also took advantage of the open hour study halls where I could ask instructors and peers questions to better understand the theories presented. In addition to the core curriculum, I found the extra modules about specific topics to be especially helpful in filling in any gaps left by the theory portion of the work. I would say that's the biggest con of the program, that I had to do a lot of independent and additional learning to be able to complete the projects. However, if you're willing to really invest in yourself and your knowledge, this is a great program; I would say the biggest pro to TripleTen is how flexible it can be to work around any schedule. After graduating from the program, I found that the continued career guidance was helpful in keeping me accountable. It would have been easy to become discouraged by a few job rejections, but having the career coach helped me stay persistent in my search, which ultimately led to me finding my current position. Overall, I'd say the TripleTen Quality Assurance Engineering Bootcamp was worth it; it was definitely a lot of work and effort, but it paid off in the end. Read more
