This section provides the foundation for a career in data. Python is a popular programming language, widely used in data applications, Machine Learning/AI, and building digital tools. In this module, you'll learn Python for data analysis, as well as how to build your own software tools.
Data Science has many facets. One of the most widely-used is Machine Learning (ML)—teaching computers to find the best algorithms to perform specific tasks, creating models that can make predictions and inferences about the real world.Machine Learning builds on everything you've covered so far—stats, Python, and software engineering—to enable you to create intelligent systems. You'll cover supervised learning (including regression and classification models), and learn how to explain Machine Learning and apply it to real-world business projects.
Data Science is always advancing—new tech is constantly being developed, with an amazing array of possibilities opening up in the field. It's more than you can learn in a lifetime, but we'll make sure to take you through a curated selection of the most interesting applications.This module covers Time Series (handling data with a time dimension), Unsupervised Learning, Natural Language Processing, Neural Networks applied to Computer Vision, and more!
